Snapshot Review - The General (1927)
Remember that enthusiastic review I posted recently for Safety Last! (1923)? Well, everything I said about that excellent picture can be said of The General: a simple story well told, endless laughs, great dramatic structure. It's the story of a man who singlehandedly chases Union spies who steal a train, through enemy lines and back again. Buster Keaton's finest picture, in my opinion.

BTW, the image in the movie isn't that unsteady. I'm just too lazy to precisely cut all the frames of the movie I captured to the same size.
And, if you're wondering, that's a real bridge and train being memorably destroyed, not a model.
