Narnia Details

A massive press release for the upcoming Chronicles of Narnia movie has been issued, containing details on crew and cast. The cast is mostly relative unknowns (as was the case with Lord of the Rings - until those films made them all stars). The crew looks fine, except for one major problem, in my mind. The cinematographer is Donald McAlpine, who did the cinematography for Moulin Rouge! and 2003's Peter Pan, two films whose visual styles I abhor.

I guess I'm excited about the film, but it won't be as good as the Lord of the Rings trilogy. It probably won't be as big at the box office, either, unless the usually untapped religious audience shows up for it like they did for The Passion of the Christ.
